WHAT IS "YOKAI" FOR ME

“YOKAI” is a Japanese traditional monster. It’s connecting with Japanese culture.  They’ve appeared on folktales or myths from long time ago. Sometimes, they have been told as a fiction or told with witnesses. The stories were entertainment for people. Especially, children loved the stories which were told by immediate family or teller in the community. One of the stories I heard at Nagano prefecture were something exists at a mountain called “Yamanba” that is looks like old woman. She attacked the people who enter the mountain. This meaning had intention which children are not to enter there. This means the connection of culture, and it is same like monsters of world. In addition some Yokai make feel affinity. They appear like around our life where in our house, at your work or your personal space, and these strangers invade your life.
